When you’re going to guest-host on a show called the FABLife, you’d better be ready to step up your “fabulosity.”
Well, that’s just what I did, thanks to my FAB makeup artist, Marylin Lee Spiegel. Here are all the FAB details.
We started by applying smoky shades on my eyes, using the must-have Lorac Pro Palette ($44). Concentrating on the outer corners on the upper lid and smudging below the lower lashline, our goal was TV-friendly eye makeup that would accentuate my green eyes. Just look at that array of shades! It’s like a Crayola box for grown women!
Next, we lined my upper lash line with it Cosmetics Liner Love in Black ($24). This gel eyeliner but is not only waterproof (perfect for all that eye-watering laughing I did on set), but also has anti-aging properties and lash-enhancing peptide serum. A miracle worker I tell you!
And, for that extra catty winged eye, we dotted the upper lash line and flicked the tail with Kat Von D Ink Liner in Dali ($19). Dali is a teal shade, so it really made my eye color pop!
Lastly, you know I’ve got to have my lashes!! ESPECIALLY for TV! I love these Dolly Wink Lashes in #2 “Sweet Girl” that are glamorous, without looking gauche.
And, don’t forget the brows!! We certainly didn’t. After all, they frame the face! For brows, we used a new-to-me brand, Thrive CAUSEmetics Infinity Waterproof Brow Liner in Audrey ($23). While the brow liner is just the best around due to its perfect shade and lasting, waterproof color, what I love most is that for every product purchased, another product is donated to a woman going through cancer treatment. I love supporting this company because when I buy Thrive, I’m getting much more than just makeup.
Next, for foundation, we used it Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Color Correcting Full Coverage Cream + Anti-Aging Hydrating Serum + SPF 50+ in Medium ($38). This full-coverage color correcting cream can work as both a foundation AND concealer and can truly cover anything and everything!! It won’t crease or crack under pressure (my fine lines say thank you), AND it contains an anti-aging serum, plus broad spectrum physical spf 50+ sunscreen, that also protects against those bright stage lights, right?
To rosy up my cheeks and give me a little glow, we opted for supermodel Josie Maran’s Argan Color Stick in Pink ($22). Just a pop of color in the cheek is perfect to warm up and balance out those cool, smoky eyes!
When it came time to perfect my pout, we used it Cosmetics YLBB Your Lips But Better Waterproof Lip Liner Stain in Blushing Nude ($20). Just line your lips for a little extra definition and for a plumped lip line with staying power. Uncomfortable with lining your lips? Apply lipstick first! Which lipstick? Well, that’s next.
To give my lips a neutral shade with a tinge of pink and a hint of shine, we applied Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Hydrating Sheer LipShine in #54 BOY ($37). It looks natural, but elevated, with a tinge of sexy.
While this look worked for me for TV, it can work for you any day, as it’s a “stepped-up glam natural” look. So, for work day, for date night – or, just for you – try adding a little FAB to your life.
Moll Must: I may have said it before but it bears repeating, luxe lashes instantly add a level of fabulous to your look!!
