Moll’s Beauty Bag: Game Day Beauty

10.16.15

We had such fun, entertaining our friends this past weekend during our “All Vol” weekend! And, now that we’re right in the heart of football season, I wanted to share with you some of the beauty staples I rely on, come game time!

Start with SPF. Any smart female football fan knows that SPF is an essential at football games! Instead of wearing a full face of foundation, this is the time to reach for a solid tinted sunscreen, with medium coverage. I love Physicians Formula Healthy Wear SPF 50 Tinted Moisturizer ($3.79) because: a) that price tag (!!), b) it has an SPF of 50, and c) it gives more coverage than most tinted sunscreens, without feeling or looking too heavy!

Put some color in your cheeks. For a fresh-faced look, that doesn’t look too made up, reach for a blush that packs a color punch, but will also last throughout the tailgating and game. My current fave? Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush ($28). This shade, Natural Beauty, is a rosy red that makes your cheeks look wind kissed.

Natural-Looking Lips. At a football game, people are paying attention to the game – not your lips. So, use this time to moisturize, while adding a subtle splash of color. Benefit Cosmetics Hydrating Tinted Lip Balm in Cha Cha ($18) is a favorite amongst many a football fashionista for its sheer mango hue.

Touchdown spray. While you might be cheering for touchdowns, the real touchdown is this guy: Model In A Bottle Original Makeup Setting Spray ($18). It shields against smudging, sweating, touchdown tears and humidity. After all, just because the tailback might be running the ball, doesn’t mean your makeup should be running.
