Color Story: Shopping For Spot – Potions & An App I Love

06.04.15

Having puppies means having more responsibilities for sure, but it also means discovering new favorites when it comes to shopping! I try out a lot of products – when it comes to my pooches – and the good news is that I’ve found some favorites recently that have bettered the lives of my pups – and saved me time and heartache!

Constant On-Call Doctor. I recently discovered a new app, Vet On Demand, which allows dog and cat owners to connect with a licensed veterinarian 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, via video chat. Instead of those costly veterinarian office visits that really add up quickly, you can show the doctor your animal, explain the symptoms, and the doctor will tell you how to proceed. Many times, they can guide you through the best treatments for your pet via video, but if it’s something needing more immediate attention, they may also direct you to a doctor’s office. Not only does it benefit pet owners, but it also benefits veterinarians, in that in provides extra income for, and helps expand the client base of, newly practicing vets. It’s also ideal for vets in smaller towns, and those who wish to have a more flexible schedule. So, it’s really a win-win all around.

Soothing solution. I personally love Burt’s Bees for me, but did you also know that they have outstanding products for your pets? I love Burt’s Bees Hot Spot Spray with Apple Cider Vinegar & Aloe Vera because its all-natural, pH balanced formula soothes chapped paws and those dreaded hot spots, in a flash. I also like to spray it on my pups’ paws after a long walk on a hot summer day to cool them down, and as a bedtime ritual to clean and relax them, before bedtime. Simply spray directly on chapped paws or hot spots, and let it dry. Your babies will feel better in no time!

In-between bath care. When there’s no time for a bath, but the pups need to be cleaned up a bit, grab a package of Nature’s Miracle Deodorizing Bath Wipes. These wipes work as effective clean-ups in between baths, and are gentle enough to be used every day. Not only do they clean, but they also leave my pups with soft skin and healthy, shiny coats.
