I love planning an event for my family and friends. It’s truly a joy to look for new and exciting ways to amaze people. I approach planning a party just as I do when I start designing a room. The key is always to start with an element that speaks to you and let it lead you in your inspired direction. Sometimes I start with an incredible large-scale piece of art that blows me away, or in this instance, a fabulous red Donna Karan New York gown. I fell in love with this dress and knew it was the perfect theme for my Habitat for Humanity party!
